Blinds are forced bets posted by two players each hand before cards are dealt. The small blind is half the big blind. They create initial pot value and rotate clockwise every hand to keep action moving at the table.

Going all-in means putting every chip you have into the pot on a single action. If another player bets more, a side pot forms. You can only win from the main pot up to the amount you have committed — the rest goes to remaining players.

Community cards are dealt face-up in the centre and shared by all players. In Texas Hold'em, five community cards appear across the flop, turn and river. You combine them with your two hole cards to make the strongest five-card hand.

Tilt describes emotional frustration that leads to poor decisions — chasing losses, over-betting weak hands, or calling when you should fold. Recognising tilt and stepping away from the table briefly is a skill that protects your bankroll long-term.
